Empowering the Modern Man
This program is for men only.

Brotherhood
Mentoring and being mentored have always been critical in male development. Be strengthened, heard, challenged, and held accountable by a group of men focused on helping each other cultivate the masculine force of Nature, locked within us.

Primitive Survival Skills
Learn ancestral survival and self reliance skills that have been a part of men’s history for half a million years. We will connect with our primal nature and develop practical physical aptitudes and confidence in the outdoors and wilderness.

Redefining Manhood
What it means to be a man is largely lost in ambiguity, suppressed into overly feminized memes of masculinity, or corrupted into unchecked anger and aggression. Re-discover what it is to be a mature man in a modern world.
Do you feel the Call of the Wild?
The Call of the Wild is a hardwired, built in failsafe embedded in the male psyche. It becomes active after a failure to be initiated by a community of bonded and mature men, an occurrence that has become the norm in modern society. The Call of the Wild is a psychological ache, a spiritual thorn, that drives us (men) to seek kindred spirits, mentors, and experiences to help us understand ourselves and our purpose.
Men feel the call in different ways depending on their individual circumstances. Yet, there is a deep, universal drive that compels us to answer. These driving forces will manifest as persistent, aching, feelings within our psyche:
- You feel an emptiness despite having a stable relationship and work?
- You feel a lack of purpose despite having goals and dreams?
- You feel incomplete and yet are unsure what is missing?
- You feel that there should be more to life but cannot quite define it.
The Journey
A year long experiential mentoring program. We will meet for twelve days throughout a year to learn ancestral survival skills that have been a part of men’s history since the dawn of modern human beings. We will connect with our primal nature and develop practical self sufficiency and confidence in the outdoors and wilderness. We will take the opportunity to learn powerful strategies to lead rich and fulfilled lives as centered, powerful, and authentic men.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this just another men’s group?
A: Far from it. Our goal is not just to get together and do “manly things”. Nor is this simply a support group for men’s issues. The Call of the Wild is, at its core, a kind of men’s think tank designed to create an environment where a group of men can re-invent themselves, outside the influence of convention and political correctness, to sow the seeds of their greatest expression of themselves as men.
Q: Why primitive skills, survival, and bushcraft?
A: Historically and even now, men have been the builders, laborers, and guardians of human civilization. Men’s physiology and psychology is adapted to work, build, fight, hunt, strategize, and protect. Survival, primitive skills, and bushcraft, are powerful platforms that facilitate transformation in men by tapping into a core aspect of our psyche through ancestral activities.
Q: Is this a men’s rights group?
A: No. As important as human rights (men and women) are, we do not concern ourselves with political action within the breadth of this program. Our focus is on the self and the brotherhood. To know ourselves and express ourselves as mature, authentic men on the ever evolving path of self actualization.
Q: Can women join the Call of the Wild program?
A: No. Men behave differently in the presence of women and the Call of the Wild program is designed specifically for men to form healthy and necessary bonds with other men in an environment of men only. This “brotherhood” environment is both natural and necessary for men to re-inforce constructive masculine identity.
Most classes offered within the Call of the Wild program are offered outside of the program and are available to both women and men. Women interested in tapping into their deepest feminine potential are encouraged to join the Awaken the Goddess Within program https://DivineSexuality.org/goddess
Q: Are there age restrictions for the Call of Wild program?
A: Yes. The Call of the Wild program does not have an upper age limit however there is a lower limit. The minimum age is flexible but generally accepted as 18. It is important for the young man to have what can only described as “man psychology”. This is not a program to mentor children into adults, but rather for adult men, both young and mature, to benefit from dynamic, critical male bonds formed in brotherhood.
Q: Can I join the Call of the Wild program after the start date?
A: This is not ideal, but depending on the time frame, this can potentially be arranged. Email us directly for more information about this.
Location
Los Angeles County, CA. All Call of the Wild events will be held outdoors in the Los Angeles area and focused in the San Gabriel Valley area. Wilderness related events will be held in or near the San Gabriel Mountains. Individual class locations may be seen in class decriptions as indicated in the calendar of events.
Cancellation and Refund Policies
A great deal of staff time and expense is invested into the preparation and organization of individual classes. It is difficult and oftentimes impossible to recover costs and/or find a student to replace a cancelled registrant and so our cancellation and refund policies reflect this. Programs taking place over the course of 30 days or more, such as the Call of the Wild program, must be cancelled with a minimum 14 day notice of the program start date or within 24 hours of registration to receive a transfer (minus a $30 transfer fee) or a full refund minus a $100 non-refundable deposit. Full program cancellations made with less than 14 days notice of the program start date, forfeit a refund or transfer. Full program cancellations made once the program has started, forfeit a refund or transfer. We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances do happen. As such, we offer the courtesy of individual classes to be rescheduled a maximum of one time to a different class within 12 months of the originally scheduled class with a $15 administrative fee.
