Fire Medicine: Incense, Smudges & Moxibustion

The ability to produce fire is arguably the defining skill that allowed prehistoric humans to venture out of the abundance of the equatorial belt into the farthest reaches of the globe. Naturally, the application of fire in the development of of ancient medicines would facilitate a new age in the potential for health and healing. The combination of the primal element of Fire and herbal formulations is sacrosanct in ceremony, ritual, and the preparation of herbal remedies. In this workshop, you will:
- Learn how the direct application of fire changes the basic qualities of herbal medicines
- Practice the ancient art of moxibustion within Asian meridian energetics
- Understand the medicinal, spiritual, and energetic properties of incense and smudges
- Formulate and craft your own fire based herbal medicines
- Take home your own incense (materials included with the tuition)

Cancellation and Refund Policies
A great deal of staff time and expense is invested into the preparation and organization of individual classes. It is difficult and oftentimes impossible to recover costs and/or find a student to replace a cancelled registrant and so our cancellation and refund policies reflect this. Full refunds, minus $15 administrative fee for single day classes and a $30 admin fee for multi-day classes, are given to registrants who cancel with at least 7 days notice of the event. Cancellations made less than 7 days of the event forfeit a refund.
